Visual appearance

The Czech POPIN site is characterised by the following graphical features:

• Header at the top contains "location toolbar" showing the actual position (level) in the POPIN web structure, "service links" with navigation to pages that are "service" to POPIN content and right-aligned title of the actual category.

• Navigation toolbar at the left contains links to six main categories and "related links" that are hyperlinks to sites with similar contents. By clicking the category you will be redirected to that category and links to further sub-categories will be shown jointly with new "related links". The following rules apply:
  
    - Titles of sub-categories are white and non-hyperlinked if no content is present.
    - Titles of sub-categories are dark-yellow and hyperlinked if content is presentred.
  
  Links followed by image are links leading outside the Czech POPIN site. They are usually redirected to new window that may be closed without any sulkies.
  
  Categories can be accessed directly by adding their shortened names to the URL address of Czech POPIN web site:
    - Population Statistics category can be accessed by

    - Population Trends category can be accessed by
  http://popin.natur.cuni.cz/trends;
    - Population Policy category can be accessed by

    - Publications category can be accessed by

• The contents is appearing in the rest of the window. We do not use frames to separate contents from header and navigation toolbar.
