Important remarks:

- Some of fluctuations of figures are caused by changes of laws and definitions, which is for example the case of growth of infant mortality rate in 1965 due to the change of the definition of stillbirth.
- Figures on migration are to some extent underestimated. Figures of Emigrants from 1994 are markedly underestimated and therefore useless.
- Causes of death are encoded according to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, tenth revision (look at http://www.who.int/whosis/icd10/), the ninth revision code is also indicated.

Explanations of some figures in Main Demographic Indicators section:

Net migration=Immigrants minus Emigrants in given year.
Natural increase/decrease=Live births minus Deaths in given year.
Total increase/decrease=Net migration plus Natural increase/decrease in given year.
Crude marriage rate=Number of marriages per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Crude divorce rate=Number of divorces per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Crude live birth rate=Number of live births per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Crude induced abortion rate=Number of induced abortions per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Crude death rate=Number of deaths per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Rate of net migration=Net migration per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Rate of natural increase/decrease=Natural increase/decrease per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Growth rate=Total increase/decrease per 1000 inhabitants on 1st July.
Total female first marriage rate=Computed from one-absorption-state nuptiality tables. Hypothetical share of women (in %), which would enter first marriage until the age of 50 from initial cohort of 15 tears old women (with presumption of unchangeable probabilities of marriage of given year).
Mean age at first marriage=Computed from age distribution of marriages in nuptiality tables.
Total divorce rate=Sum of reduced rates of divorces according to different duration of marriage. Express the number of divorces from initial 100 marriages contracted.
Total pregnancy rate=Sum of age-specific pregnancy rates (number of live births plus stillbirths plus induced, spontaneous and undefined abortions and plus extra-uterine pregnancies in given age per number of women in given age). Express hypothetical number of pregnancies per 1 women with presumption of unchangeable age-specific pregnancy rates of given year.
Total fertility rate=TFR=Sum of age-specific fertility rates. Express hypothetical number of live births per 1 women with presumption of unchangeable age-specific fertility rates of given year. Frequently used for international comparison of fertility conditions.
Mean age at childbirth=Mean value of age-specific fertility rates weighted by middles of age intervals.
Mean age at birth of first child=Mean value of age-specific fertility rates of first order weighted by middles of age intervals.
Gross reproduction rate=R1=Sum of age-specific fertility rates multiplied by the share of girls among live births. Express hypothetical number of live birth girls per 1 women with presumption of unchangeable age-specific fertility rates of given year.
Net reproduction rate=R0=Sum of age-specific fertility rates multiplied by the share of girls among live births and by the probability of survival from age 0 to the age of mother (taken from life tables). Express hypothetical number of live birth girls per 1 women which will survive until the age of mother (with presumption of unchangeable fertility and mortality patterns of given year). The value indicates, whether the population will rise in long term (if R0>1) or decline (if R0<1).
Percentage of premarital conceptions=Share of first children born within marriage in first to eighth month after marriage from all first children born in marriage.
Total induced abortion rate=Sum of age-specific interruption rates (number of induced abortions in given age per number of women in given age). Express hypothetical number of interruptions per 1 women with presumption of unchangeable age-specific interruption rates of given year.
Life expectancy at exact age=Life table indicators on life expectancy at exact ages for given sex. Indicate the expected remaining life duration with presumption of unchangeable mortality conditions of given year. Frequently used for international comparison of mortality conditions.
Infant mortality rate=Infant deaths (first year of life) per 1000 live births. Frequently used for international comparison of mortality and health service conditions.
Perinatal mortality rate=Stillbirths plus deaths in first 7 days of life per 1000 live births.
Neonatal mortality rate=Deaths in first 28 days of life per 1000 live births.
